We are excited to announce that Southbridge received its Planned Development approval at the October 31st City Council meeting.

Located in the 3rd Ward, at the bustling intersection of Cermak and State Streets, just steps from CTA Green and Red Line Stations and multiple bus routes, this dynamic destination brings new life to an area known for its vibrancy and history. Southbridge is a new and unique mixed-use development, on the former Harold Ickes Homes site, that will weave together the dynamic communities of the South Loop, Bronzeville, and Chinatown with its 972 residential units, 65,000 sq. ft. of retail space, approximately 3,000 sq. ft. of community space, 6.8 acres of open space, the reestablishment of 23rd Place paired with site-wide infrastructure.

The first phase will consist of 206 mixed-income units, 15,000 sq. ft of retail, and approximately 3,000 sq. ft. of community spaceā€”all set to break ground in Summer-2019.
